Imagine this scenario: you’ve just finished your GCSEs, A Levels or university degree. Now it’s time to figure out what you want to do next.
So you start doing research online for what options you have. But to get all the information you need, it takes hours of searching and reading various articles and pages. It can be exhausting, and not everyone has the time to do detailed research.
But what if you could find all the information you needed for A Levels, university, apprenticeships and more, in one place?
Recently, I created a website to do just that.
For The Facts shows information on all options someone can choose – universities, apprenticeships, etc. – in one place. It also shows the benefits and drawbacks of each option, which I noticed no other website showed.
You can also search career listings to find out more about what each career involves. Each listing tells you what qualifications or training you’ll need to get started.
If you know what activities you like doing, but aren’t sure what career you want to do, you can see career listings sorted by industry. Say you really liked building LEGO sets, but weren’t sure what you want to do as a job. Well, you might be interested in starting a career in construction, and you can browse through the 30 construction career listings available.
I created this website as my dissertation project for the university degree I recently finished. Using React and Next.js for the first time was the hardest part of developing the project, along with generating accurate career descriptions and university facilities lists using AI models.
